Questions
Is a goodwill letter the same as a dispute?
No. A dispute says information is inaccurate or incomplete. A goodwill letter asks a creditor to consider removing an accurate item as a courtesy.
Will a creditor agree?
A creditor may agree or may say no. Nobody can promise an outcome, and no result is assured.
Who should I send it to?
Send it to the creditor that reported the late payment, usually its customer service or credit department. Use the address on your statement or the company's official website.
