  • Billing and script habits that keep phone sales compliant

Who it is for: Credit repair owners who sell, enroll or follow up with prospects by telephone.

Questions

Does the advance-fee ban apply to online sales?

It applies to telemarketing. If a telephone call is part of the sale, assume it may apply and get counsel's view. Verify with counsel and the current official text.

Does a signed CROA contract satisfy the TSR?

No. CROA and the TSR are separate. A compliant contract does not permit payments the TSR bars.
